World War 11 Refugees
The Internet is an amazing tool, and the oddest things pop up. An interest of mine is old photographs, and there are lots of YouTube links that feature these.
And this photo popped up. The heading was Grandmother and her two grandsons, Polish Refugees, Tehran 1944. Which immediately got me wondering if this family became some of the “Piahiatua Children” ..Google Image Search took me a little further, and the photo was Id’d as “American Red Cross” .But I wondered if this family actually did come to NZ.
