ESSAY COMPETITION FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
For the second year running the Polish Heritage Trust is organising, in partnership with the Delegation for the European Union to New Zealand, an essay competition for Year 11 to 13 students.
A flyer outlining the Essay Topic, Prizes and Time Scale is enclosed.
There is still plenty of time to encourage and invite your senior students to consider, discuss, and compose an essay which debates
“What are the benefits of a ‘green recovery’ to the European Union?”
The winner will be flown to Wellington (return) for a day in the life of the EU Ambassador Ms Nina Obermaier. All expenses are covered and last year’s winner, Sophie Woodham of Columba College, Dunedin, found the experience both enjoyable and invaluable. Last year’s winners list also includes students from Southland Girl’s High School, Invercargill and Wakatipu High School, Queenstown.
This is a wonderful opportunity for senior high school students, and we ask you circulate this information to your students, and put up these posters in places where students are able to see them on notice boards until October 15, 2020.
An indication of your school interest would be appreciated.
Entries to be e-mailed to info@polesdownsouth.org.nz or posted to POHOS, 276 High Street, Dunedin 9016 to reach us on the 16th of October 2020.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Kind regards
Thank you,
